WMS science teacher finds true calling as an educator - from The Windham Eagle

Pamela Mallard believes we’re all here to contribute something unique and that deep within all of us lies a special gift. It’s a philosophy that holds significance for Mallard as she found her true calling in working with students and now serves as a seventh- and eighth-grade science and math teacher at Windham Middle School.

WMS Mission and Vision

The Windham School System is committed to providing an environment suitable for the intellectual, cultural, social and physical development which will enable each student to make responsible and effective decisions and to become a contributing member of our society. Realizing that each student is unique, we set expectations and provide opportunities for individuals to pursue goals and aspirations through a quality educational program.
Students will build a foundation for a lifelong process of learning by developing and acquiring skills in critical and logical thinking, effective listening, and reading, writing and speaking. Students will explore opportunities that foster an appreciation for aesthetics and our cultural and historical heritage, that stress physical health and fitness, that teach life skills, and that prepare them for further academic studies and vocational pursuits.
We will inspire in students the desire to achieve excellence throughout life, both in the learning process and in the workplace, thereby promoting a cooperative attitude toward others and a positive self-image.
