Windham Middle School students perform their Spring 2018 Concert.

Thomas Riley I Drove all night with a phenomenal teacher she works at 2 I have I'd like to take the time to say that because you'll see the work. yes, kids and how much improvement she's big name in dishes in the sink string instruments in all of all the different instruments is amazing she's also provided lots of opportunities for kids around the area Portland Symphony Orchestra right and work with students for district distribution where all that stuff is what makes her fantastic in this program fantastic so that so thank you all for supporting I know I know you want me to be quiet and so enjoy is there a sixth grade restaurant in Des Plaines called power and pulse I like pieces by a composer a by the name of Brian balmages he writes a lot of pieces for this age level in a sitz bath interesting and this is called into the sky concert when do we typically do is we like to have a little bit of a step up for the 6th graders to play the 7th and 8th graders Anna. Because next year of course not because mine was part of the 7th and 8th grade Orchestra and will do the same with me and and so the one piece they're going to play and they big giant 6 7th and 8th grade Orchestra camp Camp 278 Orchestra isn't play Contra Dance For You sounds funny talking with middle school kids about classical music because it's not really their thing usually I think this piece caught by surprise by Feud very much as possible. But it starts out slowly and kind of with lots of emotion and then it turns into a dispute kind of sort of like around as much faster and it's head to said to me at one time or another In-Shape Brentwood MD so we are actually going to end the orchestra part of the program with midnight Tango we were going to give you one piece by the eighth graders but there were a few that aren't here rather play it at our school Day concert so they'll still get to play Star Wars sorry ran into the orchestra Park termite Tatum going to start on our section for rent with a colliding at the vision how do you spell have revolver 7678 Van Zandt and again it's a nice step up for 6th graders to play with 7th and 8th graders it's a course about a big storm on this is kind of a programmatic piece which means if you don't know what that means it's okay it's a picture of your mind in your mind or something really specific like a big storm may be out on the sea okay so this is the 7th and 8th grade and they have been working very hard as all the other groups have but it is honestly kind of funny another level it changes Keys free time time to get your way more than that it's actually fun to play as well sometimes you wouldn't think something that hard would be but it's really really catchy and also these guys are going to play on their trip and in front of Judge at the end of the month and dehydrated on this as well as my other piece we do have two players in the middle of song you should listen for music. Ilona and Lauren DeLuca who are on the anterior that are going to see the face in the middle of this peace and joy jubilant you know every concert I think to myself professionally time between song what do I do if I should I should have learned a good joke group needs no introduction so the Predators play I just want to say that I have watched these guys and I'm also the orchestra student I'm not quite as long but I watch these guys hands fifth grade when they picked up there and some of the first time and I got to teach them how to hold it and hit it it's been such a joy I've been trying not to think about the fact they're moving out of that I know I know it's it's going to be crazy for them so this is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix transitions are there may be a moment of silence then we go into the next just so you're aware and I miss you guys. call Alright you're in for a bit this is the eighth grade chorus and the rest of the course will join them in a moment but first they're going to have their own their own song that they chose earlier in the year and if I took it off soundtrack to it and I'm going to come discovering The Pianist out in a few minutes this is believer best first song by a 670 chorus is from a show deer as a pet then I had just taken Broadway by storm if you haven't heard of it you've probably been living under a rock especially these guy I talked about also a song about it really doesn't matter going to most people and it seems like specially Middle School age students is called waving through window and it's kind of about looking in skin through a window to where everyone else is having their wonderful life and you feel like an outsider how how bad can it be able to talk about how we can kind of prevent that with Peterson and say welcome everyone in the end this is waving through a window stop the timer I have a couple of silhouettes on our next song Maddie Hancock first and we'll see our way so I don't need to come out here text spelling and on our last piece that you think we have two more solo by dad needs to her as well as the undergrads click call radio an apology letter is also posting a fellow at the end stop how do I edit I really appreciate all of you to listen to on this wonderful music and we look forward to more concerts in my future have a good evening
