We are excited to host our first dance of the school year this Friday, January 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Windham Middle School. The dance is a fundraiser for Dare to Adventure. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased at the door. 

Students earned this dance by collectively earning 500 eagle cards. They earned those eagle cards for demonstrating respect, responsibility, compassion, and integrity throughout the school. Continuing with this theme, we wanted to let everyone know about dance behavior expectations. These expectations were generated by the Dare to Adventure students organizing Friday's dance:

• Respect: Avoid inappropriate language and gestures. All school rules and our code of conduct apply to the dance.
• Responsibility: Follow adult directions the first time. This includes keeping your hands to yourself and no running.
• Compassion: Be kind to everyone. Don’t mislead or tease people.
• Integrity: Stay in the designated dance areas. This means the gym, aux gym lobby, and cafeteria. No going into Field Allen, outside, or the academic wing.  

Here is some additional information that might be helpful as you plan:

• Students must go home at dismissal and return to WMS at 6 p.m.
• Drop-off and pick-up is at the main entrance to the school. Once a student has left the dance, they cannot come back in.
• Only WMS students are allowed at the dance.
• No locker access.
• No book bags allowed.
• Students can only use their cell phones in the “Phone Zone” (the aux gym lobby).
• Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
